With the debut of the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti today, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is now officially the most powerful graphics card in the GeForce lineup.
The new graphics card will be available immediately, beginning at £1879/$1999. The RTX 3090 Ti has 10,752 CUDA cores, a significant increase over the previous RTX 3090 graphics card’s 10,496.
Although the 24GB of GDDR6X memory remains identical, Nvidia has increased the memory speed from 19.5Gbps to 21Gbps, resulting in a significant performance bump. Third-party manufacturers, like PNY, have announced that overclocked versions of the graphics card would be released for even more performance.
Nvidia claims the RTX 3090 Ti is 9% quicker than the RTX 3090, although it recommends this graphics card for creators rather than gamers. However, if you want to use this GPU for 4K or 8K gaming, it can still handle it.
The Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti has a hefty graphics card power of 450W, making it 100W more power-hungry than the non-Ti variant. It’s a crucial element to consider when electricity bills are skyrocketing.
It’s also worth noting that the RTX 3090 Ti will be built on the same Ampere architecture as the RTX 3070, RTX 3080, and RTX 3090, with the same foundations. With Nvidia’s 4000-Series GPUs, based on the next-generation ‘Ada Lovelave’ architecture, expected to be unveiled later this year, the RTX 3090 Ti’s reign as the most potent GeForce graphics card could be short-lived.
Nonetheless, the RTX 3090 Ti might be a fantastic farewell to the 30-Series generation and a tempting alternative for those looking for the most fantastic GPU performance right now.
